Orthotics??? Really?

Posted on October 27, 2019 at 4:45 PM

Hi everyone,

We are excited to offer a really great custom orthotic in our office.

How?

We see our clients feet every 6 weeks, socks off, for 45 minutes. We complete a very thourough lower limb assessmnet and then " the nurse experience" steps in... WE TALK TO OUR CLIENTS lol. You heard me, thats right. We listen to our clients genuinely describe what is going on with their feet and we dont rush them. There is no 10 minute appt window they are given. We bring together all the information, plus what we see and include our treatment plan we have been following for their foot care in the art of these orthotics. As foot nurses we see the offloading that needs to happen. We treat the calluses, corns and tissue damge resulting from poorly aligned feet!

We happily book them with our resident Chiropracter who has a different skill set to add to the best orthotics we can produce! Over 2 appts they are assessed and fit with our wonderful and compassionate DR. Stephanie. DR. Stef handles all the billing and fun stuff, making it easier for our clients The Nurse is included in all aspects of helping to create these orthotics for their clients. Who better to help than the ACTUAL provider of the foot care.

This is a great collaboration of different field of expertiese coming together for our clients health!

Ingrown Nail Pain?

Posted on July 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM

Our foot Care Team has been offering a resin NAIL CORRECTION SYSTEM since early this year and have seen amazing reults. This techniqe has been in use for a very long time in Europe. With the application of a resin and the use of a curing light.

A new way to retrain your nail to have a proper growth pattern instead of being turned in and digging in!

The procedure take less than 10 minutes and is painless!

This is so revolutionary in fixing those painful ingrowns. Training for my nurses was quick and efficient. All reported it was so very easy to perform.

We here at Advanced Foot Care Nurse and Wellness Centre is always proud to bring you the best!

Sandal TIME

Posted on April 15, 2019 at 1:10 PM

Not just a great looking sandal! But a comfortable one. I love them. I already have 3 of the styles. It is true you pay for what you get.  Biotime sandals arent overly expensive( 50.00-110.00), but they are not your dime store sandal either. As foot professional we have to look at the sole of a shoe. ASK YOURSELF??? Does this actually support my foot? This is the time of year I cringe looking at the cheap sandals peope are wearing causing damage in the long term to their feet!

There are so many reputable brands out there.

Another thing!!! Get sized. Our feet change a lot over time. There are a large number of us wearing incorrectly fit shoes.

Always make sure they are well fitted but not too tight.

Visiting the ONE and ONLY "The Toe Bro"

Posted on January 19, 2019 at 10:55 PM

Such an exciting time visiting Toronto!

I was welcomed into the office of Jonathan aka "The Toe Bro"

He is a top Chiropodist in Canda and also created a very successful UTUBE channel, viewed by almost 90 million viewers.

His office was so warm and welcoming. He was in the middle of filming for his new show coming out on the A&E network. He was a great foot specialist to speak with and pass back and forth ideas and enjoy the connection.

He has his own line of foot care tools that surpasses any others I have used!

It reminded me that we should all be working together! no matter where our discipline is in this foot care world. We are all needed and loved by our patients. Working together can only benefit those who come through our door for help!

Happy weekend,

The Foot Goddess

"You Don't Have to be Embarrassed"

Posted on January 6, 2019 at 12:55 AM

We see ALL types and conditions of feet.

All to often its really sad :( We have so many clients express that they have lived for years with unsightly or painful feet as they were embarrassed and did not know who could help them. We have had many people leave our offices in tears as the miraculous makover. Sometimes we laugh and notice they couold probably go a whole shoe size smaller now.

"NO NAIL TO THICK" is our motto. We have amazing podiatry equipment to tackle anything and we all too aften LOVE the challenge of tough feet.

One thing thats awesome... Nurses are very caring by nature, so theres nothing to be afraidd of or embarrassed. We are always here to help you, Take a holistic and caring approac to our care.

If you know someone, or have looked down and seeen a family or friends feet in desperate need of care, perhaps let them know we would love to to see them in our offices or in the comfort of their home.

Happy Saturday Everybody, from our team!
